Happy Monday!

I felt inspired this weekend by several things, and I wanted to share a few with you in an easy-to-scan format.

Take what you want! Leave what you don't. But please do let me know what was helpful to you! Enjoy!

Calling Small Businesses, Creators & Entrepreneurs: Stop sleeping on YouTube

I started playing around with sharing "shorts" over the weekend on YouTube and to my surprise I gained a lot of traction in a short amount of time.

I have helped countless clients build out their channels but was re-inspired to do something with mine (besides push my podcast there) while previewing an episode coming up on The Real Personal Branding Podcast (I will let you know when it's released).

Philip Van Dusen is an upcoming guest and he talked about how to use YouTube for your personal brand. You can see the awkward videos I made here!

Hopefully it inspires you to take action without overly polishing! P.S. Subscribe to my channel, and make my day!

Updated my BEST-OF Tools List!

I keep an updated list of the tools I ACTUALLY use in my business, and I recently gave it a big refresh, so I wanted to share it again.

I always find it helpful to see what other people use and how they actually use it, so I hope this list is useful to you too.

Most of these include a free trial, free months, or a bonus if you use my link, and you'll also find plenty of free resources.

You can find that here with tons of freebies.

Craving community, thinking-partner energy, new business ideas, visibility, positioning ideas, and business support?

If you're looking for a group of business owners to brainstorm with, get honest feedback from, and stay accountable to, I have two spots available in my Mastermind starting August 6.

We don't open new spots very often. If you're interested, I'd love for you to learn more and apply.

Apply by July 25 to receive a discounted rate of $25 off per month. The Mastermind also includes complimentary coaching calls with me, and we meet on Thursday evenings.

[REPLAY] VISIBILITY & POSITIONING WORKSHOP

Did you miss the workshop last week about positioning, visibility, and growth? That is ok! It is now available as a replay here!

Do you read the news in the morning?

Earlier this year I started taking a break from the onslaught of social media's urgency in the morning. It really helped me feel more focused.

It's a strange timeline we are living in. I wanted social media to serve as a place to connect with people not hyper-click-bait headlines optimized for rage and paralyzation.

Don't misunderstand me though... I believe it is extremely important to keep up with what is going on in our country and world in a very intentional way.

I want to know how and who I can help and when. I want to know about history, and about how I can make an impact locally, nationally, and internationally. Here are some of favs I read from in the morning to make sure I am informed with accurate information both in the present and historically:

My local news because local news is important! (look yours up!), The Preamble by Sharon McMahon, Heather Cox Richardson - Letters from an American (both of these talk about history + the present times), Shante Cofield's - Prompting Curiosity Blog + Podcast (A very neutral informational podcast about AI, and one of the sources I trust) New Yorker - (Look this is such a nerdy pleasure. It gets delivered (yes, PAPER) weekly and isn't super pricey. The articles are long and interesting. Perfect weekend reads) and a few others.

Another one I have been reading lately is Morning Brew. It has a great selection of articles across TONS of topics but delivers me brain food that I can read for 5 min every morning.

Sometimes I get ideas for content while reading through this website... Ironically, they offered to put an ad in my email the other day, and this is one I felt comfortable with because I actually use it. Find out more about them here!
